1970 Rolex Red Submariner 1680 with Box and Papers

Case: The excellent case has previously been polished and has a bright sleeve polished appearance. The fat font bezel insert is also in excellent condition and has faded to a dark blue hue.

Dial: The matte black dial is excellent and shows some light speckling patina from age. The black surface of the dial is lightly bubbling from age. The markers have aged to a warm creamy hue and the hands have been relumed and color-matched to the dial.

Bracelet: The 11 link folded link oyster bracelet is excellent showing average stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1972 date code.

Accessories: Box, papers, and service papers.

Notes: The right amount of patina highlights the graceful aging process this Red 1680 has been going through for the past 50 years.
