1963 Rolex PCG Submariner 5513 Gilt Underline Chapter Ring Dial

Case: The thick and even pointed crown guard case is excellent showing wide prominent bevels and average wear from use. The black bezel insert is also in excellent condition showing only light wear from use.

Dial: The very rare glossy black gilt chapter ring underline dial is excellent showing some light wear for its age. The lume has aged to a warm sandy hue and the hands match perfectly. All lume glows brightly when exposed to UV and falls off rapidly at the same rate which is correct for this series of dial. There is an extremely short time period when Rolex produced the chapter ring dial with the underline marking. Most underline dials are the later less rare non chapter ring variation which makes this a very special piece.

Bracelet: The 22 d-link Jubilee bracelet is excellent showing average stretch for its age. The Rolex U.S.A. clasp is also in excellent condition showing only light wear.
