1966 Rolex Submariner 5513 Gilt Dial

Case: The thick case has previously been polished and is in excellent condition showing some wear to its bright sleeve polished finish. The fat font bezel is also in excellent condition and shows light wear.

Dial: The gilt dial has an extremely tight and intricate spider cracking patina with some of the base metal showing through in places and looking like flakes of gold on the dial. The gilt printing is bright and clean. The lume has aged to a warm sandy hue and the hands have aged several shades darker than the dial. All lume glows brightly when exposed to UV and falls off rapidly at the same rate. There is a small area of slightly more prominent patina just under the 6 and 7 o'clock o'clock markers.

Bracelet: The 11 link folded link Oyster bracelet is good with moderate stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1977 date code.

Accessories: None.

Notes: The small flashes of gold give this 5513 a subtle but extremely unique patina.
