Case: The previously polished case is excellent and features sharp prominent bevels. The case looks to only have been lightly worn since it was polished. The fat font "French" kissing 40 bezel insert is excellent and has faded to a satin blue-grey hue and shows light wear for its age.
Dial: The glossy black gilt dial is excellent and shows only very light wear. The gilt printing is bright, clean, and glossy. The lume has aged to a warm creamy hue. The original hands have aged significantly darker than the dial which sometimes happens with gilt pieces from this era.
Bracelet: The 12 link Swiss rivet bracelet is excellent and shows average stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1969 date code.
Notes: It's not vantablack but it's close.
