1978 Rolex Red Daytona 6265 Black Dial

Case: The very good case that has previously been polished shows light wear from use. The stainless bezel is also in excellent condition and shows light wear. The watch comes with newer Rolex service pushers.

Dial: The matte black dial is in very good condition and shows light wear overall. There are two subtle spots on the dial the first just below the first subdial and the second just to the right of the second sub-dial. Most of the lume plots are missing some or all of their luminous mass which is common for 6265s of this era. The remains lume has aged to a warm creamy hue. The hands are newer luminova service units. The middle and right sub dial have light scratching because some watchmaker had a seizure when he took the hands off to service the watch. I wish we could all throw tomatoes at him.

Bracelet: The 11 link oyster bracelet is excellent and shows light stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1980 date code.
