1969 Rolex Red Submariner 1680 Meters First Mark 2 Tropical Dial

Case: The thick and even case is excellent showing wide, sharp, prominent bevels and only light wear from use. The "kissing 40" fat font bezel insert is also in excellent condition, and had aged to a dark grey brown tone showing only very light wear from use.

Dial: The meters first dial is excellent and is aging to a warm brown tropical patina. The surface of the dial showing little if any wear but there is some light chipping to the white 7, 9, and 10 indexes at the very edge of the dial. The lume lume has aged to a warm creamy hue. The hands have aged just slightly warmer than the dial.

Bracelet: The 11 link Oyster bracelet is excellent showing only very light stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1988 date code.

Accessories: None.

Note: This watch was hand delivered by the original owner's son to San Diego from Guatemala. It's been in the same family since it was purchased new.
