Case: The previously polished case is excellent showing sharp prominent bevels and only light wear from use. The bezel insert has faded to a lavender-grey hue and shows only light wear from use.
Dial: The matte black rail dial is excellent showing little if any wear. The lume has aged to a clean creamy hue and the hands match perfectly. The second hand luminous material is partially cracked and aging to a greenish tone.
Bracelet: The 10 link Oyster bracelet is excellent showing average stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1978 date code.

Notes: Very rare indeed. The 1665 rail dial was made by Stern, the same company that produced Comex dials.
