As we get older our tastes change. Things we could never imagine being interested in when we were younger start to look more appealing. The 18k Gold 16618 Serti Dial Submariner is just such a thing. And while it's unlikely a Serti Dial Gold Submariner would be the first, second, or even third piece to your collection. There is a good possibility someday down the road you'll be giving it a second look.
This is a particularly nice example of a 16618 for those ready to take the plunge into the deep end of the weird pool. This case shows mostly light surface scuffing since its last polish. There is one slightly more prominent ding at the very tip of the 5 o'clock lug. The beautiful blue insert retains the tritium pearl has very light wear from use. The newer "SWISS" only Serti dial is fading to a rosy brown hue and contrasts nicely with the blue sapphire and diamond markers. The luminova hands are also newer and were most likely replaced at the same time as the dial. The 11 link 18k solid gold oyster bracelet has remarkably light stretch and the 1994 S1 date code makes it period correct.
