1959 Rolex Submariner 5508 Gilt Dial with Red Triangle Bezel

Case: The case is excellent with a bright sleeve polished appearance and features wide prominent bevels. The case shows light wear for its age. The black bezel insert is excellent with an intact and lightly faded red triangle.

Dial: The glossy black gilt dial is very good with an even and extensive speckling patina across the surface. The lume has aged to a warm sandy hue and the hands match perfectly. The metal portion of the hands shows some patina from age. When exposed to UV the lume glows with a dim speckled hue except for the 6 o'clock marker which glows brightly. This is correct for watches from this era.

Bracelet: The 12 link Swiss rivet bracelet is excellent showing light wear for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1966 date code.
