1978 Rolex Submariner 5514 with Comex Provenience and Service Records

Case: The thick and even case is unpolished showing average wear consistent with professional use. The bezel insert is also in excellent condition and has faded to a light silvery grey showing only light wear from use.

Dial: The matte black Comex dial is excellent showing only light wear for its age. The lume has aged to a clean creamy hue and the hands match perfectly. Several of the lume plots are missing a portion of their luminous mass.

Bracelet: The 11 folded link Oyster bracelet is excellent showing only light stretch.

Accessories: 2012 Japanese Rolex Service Papers & August 2024 Certificate of Service from Tropical Watch.

Notes: With this 5514 there's no need to speculate the kind of life your watch had before you got your grubby little hands on it. It's pretty clear that from its day of issue, on October 10th 1977, it's spent most of its time hard at work deep deep under water.
