Case: The previously polished case is very good and shows very light wear for its age. The Black MK 3 bezel insert is excellent showing light wear for its age. The pushers are newer service units.
Dial: The matte black dial is excellent showing little if any wear. The silvery-white subdials show light wear from age. The 18k WG applied markers are clean and show little if any wear. Most of the lume plots are missing some or all of their previous luminous mass. The remaining lume has aged to a warm sandy hue and the hands have aged slightly lighter than the dial. All lume glows brightly when exposed to UV and falls off rapidly at the same rate.
Bracelet: Excellent 12 link oyster bracelet with little to no stretch. The clasp is stamped with a 1989 date code.
Accessories: Rolex Box and Papers
Notes: For their 25th wedding anniversary in 1983, Joanna Newman gifted Paul a 6263 with the engraving "Drive Slow / Joanne". Photographs of Paul show him wearing this watch through much of the '80s having taken over daily driver duties from the 6239 that he eventually gifted to James Cox.
