Case: The case is excellent with wide sharp and prominent bevels. The bezel insert is excellent and has faded down to a lighter silvery version of its original hues.
Dial: The glossy gilt dial has aged with a nebulous speckled spacy patina and shows light wear aside from the patina. The lume has aged to a warm sandy hue and the hands match perfectly.
Bracelet: The 12 link swiss rivet bracelet is excellent and shows only light stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a matching 1964 date code.
Got this note from another customer, "This is not a San Francisco watch. It's Vietnam. APO = Army Post Office which is a military address for people stationed overseas. When we were stationed on Guam, my address was "APO, San Francisco 96334." So my address had a US city/zip code but it was Andersen AFB Guam. APO can be Army or Air Force. In this case, it's Air Force because it's from Pleiku Field (aka Pleiku Air Base). So this sweet watch has Vietnam provenance!"
