Case: The 18k yellow gold case is excellent and shows light wear from use. The 18k yellow gold UPH bezel is also excellent and shows light wear.
Dial: The black dial and gold subdials are excellent showing no visible wear. The luminova filled markers are flawless and the original factory hands are matching.
Bracelet: The 11 link 18k yellow gold oyster bracelet is excellent with no visible stretch.

Notes: With the funkier and distinctly Newman design aspects missing, It feels like a bit of a reach calling this iteration of the 116508 the "new Newman". Especially since this variation with its black dial, gold subdials, and red accents more than stands on its own as a beautiful and unique addition to the Rolex Daytona lineup. If I were searching for a more appropriate nickname, my mind would still jump to those same 6241/6264s Newmans. But they have a second nickname. Their Black and gold dials bring to mind one of the most famous and alluring racing liveries of all time. The John Player Special.
