1989 Rolex 18K YG Day-Date 18238 Champagne Arabic Dial

Case: The sharp and thick 18K yellow gold 36mm case is excellent showing only very light wear from use. The 18K yellow gold fluted bezel is also in excellent condition showing only very light wear.

Dial: The champagne Arabic dial is excellent showing no visible wear. The lume has aged to a warm creamy hue and the hands match perfectly.

Bracelet: The 22 link 18K yellow gold President bracelet is excellent showing only very light stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a matching 1989 date code.

Accessories: None.

Notes: You don't need a dive watch for brunch at the Lafayette. Hell, you don't even need a dive watch when you take an afternoon dip in their pool. The bezel, depth rating, and bomb proof construction are superfluous in these leisure relaxing activities. Alternatively what I argue that you do need, is a Day function. Because few things in this world are as satisfying as peeking at a gold watch that reads 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, as the bartender slides the first drink of your vacation across the bar and into your hand.
