1999 Rolex Zenith Daytona 16520 Black Dial with Papers

Case: The thick, sharp, and even case has been polished in the past, showing only light wear from use. The stainless bezel is also in excellent condition, showing only light wear from use.

Dial: The dial is just beginning to age to a dark brown "Tropical" patina, showing little if any wear for its age. The hands are also in excellent condition and appear to be original to the watch.

Bracelet: The 12-link Oyster bracelet is excellent, showing only extremely light stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a matching 1999 date code.

Accessories: None.

Notes: We don't want to oversell it; the brown is subtle and will not be noticeable under all lighting conditions. But the dial is definitely turning brown, and if it's anything like previous generations of tropical dails it will continue to do so. While we don't have a big enough sample size yet to say definitively. We have noticed a trend that seems to show that a batch of the "Swiss Made" Daytona dial from the late 90's to early 2000's is prone to turning tropical.
