1998 Rolex Explorer II 16570 Black Dial with Papers

Case: The case has just returned from polishing showing sharp prominent bevels. The stainless bezel is also in excellent condition showing a sharp and well defined sunburst finish.

Dial: The glossy black Luminova dial is excellent showing no visible wear. The original factory hands are matching.

Bracelet: The 12 link Oyster bracelet is excellent and shows only very light stretch. The clasp is stamped with a matching "U" 1998 date code.

Accessories: Papers.

Notes: This dial is from the era Rolex was transitioning from tritium to luminova. It's widely thought that instead of Rolex throwing out the already produced dials marked "T Swiss- T<25" they instead just filled them with the new Luminova luminous material and sent them out to ADs.
