1988 Rolex Submariner 5513 WGS Dial

Case: The thick and even case appears to be unpolished showing wide prominent factory bevels and average wear from use. The original 80's black bezel inset is also in excellent condition and has faded to a dark navy blue hue.

Dial: The glossy black white gold surround dial has aged with an extensive and even grey and gold speckling patina across its surface The dial shows very light wear aside from the patina. YThe lume has aged to a warm creamy hue and the hands have aged several shades lighter than the dial which is typical for 5513s from this era.

Bracelet: The 12 link oyster bracelet is excellent showing some light stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a matching 1988 date code.

Accessories: None.

Notes: Made in the second to last year of the 5513s lengthy production run. This white gold surround dial 5513 has a thick and even case that looks to have escaped the polishing wheel for the past 34 years. In addition to this, the dial has aged with a subtle but stunning speckled patina with greys and golds coming through the black surface layer of enamel.
