1983 Rolex Submariner 16800

Case: The recently polished case is excellent and features wide, sharp, and prominent bevels. The bezel insert has faded to a lavender chocolate hue and shows only light wear.

Dial: The matte black dial is excellent showing very light wear. There is some oil present on the very edge of the dial between the 10 and 12 o'clock markers. The lume has aged to a warm creamy hue and the hands match perfectly.

Bracelet: The 11 link oyster bracelet is excellent and shows only light stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1981 date code.

Accessories: None.

Notes: The matte dial 16800 is a striking example of a Submariner with one foot in the past and one foot in the future.
