1981 Rolex 18K YG Submariner 16808 Tropical Dial

Case: The 18k yellow gold case has recently been polished showing sharp prominent bevels and only very light wear from use. The bezel insert has lightened with age to a vibrant satin blue hue. The insert showing some light wear from use.

Dial: The dial is excellent showing a deep tropical patina radiating out from the centerpost. Towards the center of the dial, the original blue is the lightest and now appears jade with the gold of the dial coming through. The green fades back to blue towards the edges of the dial where the original blue is still at its thickest. The lume has aged to a warm sandy hue and the hands have aged slightly lighter than the dial.

Bracelet: The 10 link 18k yellow gold Oyster bracelet is very good showing some light stretch for its age. The bracelet has been polished in the past and the coronet is light but visible. The clasp is stamped with a 1986 date code.
