1979 Rolex Two-Tone Datejust 1601 Champagne Dial

Case: Excellent case that has just returned from polishing. The 18k YG bezel is also excellent and very sharp.

Dial: The champagne sigma dial is excellent and shows little if any wear. The dial has a beautiful vertical striation pattern which is much less common than the sunburst pattern usually found on Datejust dials. The lume has aged to a warm sandy hue and the hands have aged slightly lighter than the dial.

Bracelet: The 12 link two-tone Gay Freres 14k oyster bracelet is excellent and has moderate stretch from age. The clasp is not stamped with a date code.

Accessories: None.

Notes: The Sigma dial with its vertical striations sets this 1601 apart from the rest of the two-tone pack. The watch was just overhauled.
