1979 Rolex Submariner 1680 with Box and Papers

Thick case, beautiful dial, older top hat plastic crystal, faded navy bezel insert, great band, punched papers, fully serviced... Pretty much the perfect package white dial 1680 that will take more abuse than you will be comfortable giving it. The 70's date Submariners have a softness to the black portion of the dials that makes them extremly pleasing to look at. The hands have faded to a darker hue than the dial but are original to the watch. Not everything always fades at the same rate and that makes these pieces even more interesting. The watch comes with the original silver date disk. The case has been polished in the past but is thick and even and has a light bevel that is still visible. There is a slightly deeper battle scar on the 7 o'clock lug which is visible in the photos. The newer 93150 bracelet has 11 links and very light stretch from use. The watch has just been fully serviced and comes with a newer Rolex box and the original punched papers that are dated 12/15/1983.
