Case: The case and bezel have just been polished by AP.
Dial: The dial has aged to a bronzy grey hue and shows only very light wear for its age. The lume has aged to a creamy hue and the hands match perfectly.
Bracelet: The 22 link Royal Oak bracelet is excellent showing no perceivable stretch.
Accessories: Service Card & Box.
Notes: My internal contact at AP confirmed that only 129 pieces where made without caseback numbers. Making this watch an extremly rare example of the various executions of the reference 5402. Over the course of about a year, right in between the A and B range, Audemars Piguet created a short run of 5402 Royal Oaks without such serial on the caseback. These ‘intermediate series’ Royal Oaks were produced only in 1975 and 1976, making them the rarest execution of the legendary reference 5402.
