Case: The thick and even case appears to be unpolished, showing prominent factory bevels, and light to average wear for its age. The MK II bezel is also in excellent, likely unpolished condition, showing some light wear for its age. Both the case and the bezel have a "sleeve polished" finish from what we can only assume is long-term daily wear.
Dial: The matte black MK II "frog foot" dial is excellent, showing little if any wear for its age with lume that has aged to a warm, creamy hue.
Bracelet: The 11-link folded Oyster bracelet is excellent, showing light to average stretch for its age.
Accessories: None.
Notes: Seemingly, one of the last little undiscovered nuggets of vintage Rolex idiosyncrasies is the 1655 MK 1.5 case. With examples found between the 3.5m and the 4.0m SN range. The 1.5 seems to straddle the very, very tail end of the MK 1 and into the early MK 2 dial variations. Characterized by the thick, flat-topped, and almost unfinished-looking crown guards, the MK 1.5 case takes the already funky 70's vibes of the Explorer II to the next level.
