1974 Rolex Explorer II 1655 MK 1 Dial

Case: The unpolished MK 1.5 big lug case is excellent with the factory bevels still sharp and very well defined. The case has a bright sleeve polished finish and shows only light wear for its age. The stainless bezel is also in excellent condition with the factory sunburst finish still visible. The bezel is also has a sleeve polished finish and shows only light wear for its age.

Dial: The matte black MK 1 dial is excellent showing only very light wear overall. There is some extremely subtle hand drag present just inside of the markers which only becomes visible in very bright direct light. The lume plots have aged to a warm vibrant creamy hue and the hands match perfectly.

Bracelet: The 10 link Swiss rivet bracelet is excellent showing average stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1977 date code.

Accessories: None.

Notes: By far the most avant-garde in design of all the vintage Rolex watches. The 1655 may not have the easiest dial to read, but the radical design makes it one of the most fun watches to wear.
