Case: Excellent case that has just returned from polishing. The original fat font bezel has aged to a navy hue and has some light marks from use. The bezel pearl is newer than the watch. The watch comes on an original super-dome crystal that we were able to save.
Dial: Excellent extremely glossy gilt 5513 dial. The surface of the dial has extremely minor wear and a little more obvious damage near the 55-58 min marker edge. The hands have beautifully patinated over time. The luminous on the dial is not chipped and has aged to a beautiful creamy orange hue. Both the dial and hands glow briefly when exposed to UV light which is correct for this era of dial.
Bracelet: Newer 78360 bracelet with solid links and 580 end pieces. The I code on the strap dates the watch to 1984.
Accessories: Service Papers from True Patina in New York.
Notes: The watch was purchased by the original owner while he was serving in the US Navy. I had the privilege of buying the watch from his son who talked with his father about selling the piece. It has not been serviced in a long time and I had the watch overhauled at True Patina in New York.
