1966 Rolex Submariner 5512 Gilt Tropical Dial

Case: The previously polished case is very good with a bright sleeve-polished finish and shows some wear from use. The bezel insert has faded to a light silvery blue-grey and shows light wear from use.

Dial: The glossy gilt dial has aged to a deep spider cracked brown with patches of lighter brassy brown around the edges. The lume has aged to a warm speckled creamy hue and the original lume on the hands match perfectly. There is a patched and color-matched portion of the hour hand, and the second hand has been relumed and color-matched. All original lume glows brightly when exposed to UV and falls off rapidly at the same rate.

Bracelet: The 11 link Swiss rivet bracelet is excellent showing average stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1968 date code.
