1966 Rolex Submariner 5512 Gilt Dial

Case: The previously polished case is excellent showing sharp prominent bevels and only very light wear from use. The bezel insert is also in excellent condition and has faded to a light silvery blue.

Dial: The gilt dial is showing an extensive and even pattern of spider cracking patina across its surface. On parts of the dial, there are patches of warm brown tones beginning to show through the black lacquer. The lume plots are missing most of their luminous mass with the remaining lume having aged to a warm sandy hue. The hands are also in excellent condition and match the lume on the dial. All lume glows brightly when exposed to UV and falls off rapidly at the same rate.

Bracelet: The 12 link Swiss rivet bracelet is excellent showing average stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1968 date code.
