1965 Rolex Submariner 5512 Gilt Dial

Case: The good case has been polished in the past and shows some wear for its age. The lower tip of the 5 o'clock bezel has a small ding and the inside of the 7 o'clock shows some wear due to long-term contact with the end link. The bezel is in excellent condition and has faded to a silvery lavender hue.

Dial: The glossy black dial has an even and extensive pattern of "shattered glass" patina across its surface layer. The lume has aged to a warm creamy hue and the hands have aged to a dark sage hue. The lume on the dial glows brightly when exposed to UV. The hands react to UV but glow at a lower rate than the dial.

Bracelet: The 11 link Oyster bracelet is excellent and shows light stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1970 date code.
