1961 Rolex 18K YG Day-Date 1803 Champagne Dial

Case: The previously polished 18k yellow gold case is excellent showing only very light wear from use. The sharp 18k yellow gold fluted bezel is also in excellent condition showing only light wear from use. The case serial numbers look to have been re-engraved at some point due to natural wear from endlink contact. The original serial number on the caseback is matching.

Dial: The champagne dial is excellent showing an extensive and even pattern of speckling patina across its surface. There is a small and subtle patch of slightly denser patina just below and to the right of the centerpost. Most of the lume plots age missing some or all of their luminous mass which is not uncommon for a watch of this age. The remaining lume has aged to a creamy hue and the hands match perfectly. All lume glows brightly when exposed to UV and falls off rapidly at the same rate.

Bracelet: The 19 link 18k yellow gold president is excellent showing some light stretch for its age. The 18k yellow gold clasp is stamped with a "Made in Japan" hallmark and is also in excellent condition.
