1960 Rolex Explorer 1016 with Newer Matte Dial

Case: The previously polished case is excellent showing only light wear from use. The smooth stainless bezel is also in excellent condition and shows only very light wear from use.
Dial: The newer matte dial is excellent showing overall very light wear for its age. The dial was mostly likely installed at a Rolex service at some point. There is one small spot just to the left of the word oyster. The lume has aged to a warm creamy hue and the hands have aged slightly lighter than the dial.
Bracelet: The 12 link Oyster bracelet is excellent and shows some light stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1995 date code.

Notes For some unknown reason a second number was engraved into the case just below the actual serial number which is still visible.
