1958 Rolex GMT-Master 6542 Tropical Dial with Original Bakelite Bezel

Case: The case has just returned from being expertly polished showing wide sharp bevels that closely resemble the original factory profile. The original bakelite bezel is very good showing some patina to the original red and blue enamel below the bakelite layer. The indexes glow brightly when exposed to UV.
Dial: The dial is excellent and has aged with a warm and glossy "Tiger Eye" tropical patina. The lume has aged to a warm creamy hue and the hands match perfectly. All lume glows brightly when exposed to UV and falls off rapidly at the same rate. The original roulette date wheel is excellent.
Bracelet: The 13 link Swiss rivet bracelet is excellent showing only very light stretch for its age. The clasp is stamped with a 1969 date code.
