Rolex 6542

The Rolex 6542, often called the original GMT-Master, first hit the market in 1954 and pretty much rewrote the rulebook for dual-timezone watches. Built for Pan Am pilots, it came with a bright bakelite bezel that somehow made it both rugged and, honestly, kind of glamorous. It's the kind of history that never goes out of style—and here at Tropical Watch, we seriously get why collectors obsess over every little detail of these early GMT legends.
